How to take care of your Santoku knives?

One of the most important tools in the kitchen is the Santoku knife. The santoku knife is meant to take a beating but doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care of it.   What should you do to make sure it holds up for years to come?   Following a few simple recommendations will help it last longer and be ready when you need it. 1)     Keep the Blade Sharp The blade should be as sharp as you can get it.   A dull knife is almost useless compared to a nice sharp knife.   Keeping a diamond sharpener with you or in your sheath is a good idea when your knife blade gets dull.   No need to go to the professional, just keep your sharpener handy and your knife will always be sharp. 2)     Keep the Knife Clean Another area is to keep your knife clean.
